This patient has a left lower-motor-neuron facial weakness with inability to raise the left eyebrow and weakness of left eye closure and the left lower face. Cranial nerve 7 originates in the pons and innervates all ipsilateral muscles of facial expression. This patient has a complete left facial weakness, consistent with a left CN 7 palsy or a left pontine lesion. A left cerebral cortex lesion would result in weakness of the right lower face, sparing the forehead.
