While our patient denied any health problems, certain features of his initial history suggest angina pectoris. These include the character of the symptoms, described as a feeling of discomfort; the location in the lower chest; the duration of several minutes; and the precipitating factors. The latter include the onset with exertion, especially after eating, and with emotional upset.
