Shortly after Initial Evaluation

Shortly after her initial evaluation, our patient was transferred to the coronary care unit (CCU). She remained extremely dyspneic. Her blood pressure was unchanged, but she had marked tachycardia and tachypnea. Her pulse oxymetry showed a reduced oxygen saturation of ninety percent.

Because of Severity

Because of the severity of the lesion and the possible necessity for urgent surgery, cardiovascular surgery was contacted at this time to follow the patient.
