You are incorrect - our patient's history is most consistent with pulmonary edema.

Your choice: Pulmonary embolus
Patients with pulmonary embolism typically present with dyspnea. Pleuritic chest pain is most common when there is associated pulmonary infarction. Pulmonary embolism is usually associated with predisposing conditions such as deep vein thrombosis, history with a long trip of immobility, prolonged bed rest, leg edema, congestive heart failure or the postoperative state.
