Your choice: Non-specific ST-T abnormalities

This electrocardiogram shows non-specific ST-T abnormalities. This term applies to many different variations in the ST segment and the T wave that do not suggest a specific diagnosis. In this tracing, the T waves are flat in several leads, especially in leads V5 and V6. These non-specific abnormalities are observed in a large variety of clinical settings ranging from drinking cold water and hyperventilation to electrolyte disturbances and the effects of drugs to early myocardial ischemia. While the tracing is interpreted as abnormal, it does not necessarily indicate that the heart is abnormal.
