Neurofibromatosis with Pheochromocytoma (Rare)


The patient's general appearance may, on rare occasions, provide a clue to the diagnosis of pheochromocytoma. In a small percentage of patients with the rare genetic condition neurofibromatosis, pheochromocytoma may be present. These photographs demonstrate cafe-au-lait spots (image on the left) and cutaneous neurofibromata (image on the right) in such a patient.
