Labs - Rhythm
You are
incorrect
- the best interpretation of the rhythm strip in our patient is atrial fibrillation.
Your choice:
Sinus arrhythmia
This rhythm strip shows sinus arrhythmia. The characteristic features demonstrated here include
identical P waves
preceding each QRS, but with cyclic variation in the rate, wherein it
increases during inspiration and decreases during expiration.
The
PR intervals
are normal and constant and the
QRS complexes
are identical. This is a common normal finding, especially in younger patients.
