You are incorrect - the best treatment for our patient is aortic balloon valvuloplasty.

Aortic valve replacement is also an option. However, our patient is young and he fulfills the usual criteria for balloon valvuloplasty.

Your choice: Aortic valvotomy
The indications for aortic valvotomy are similar to those for balloon valvuloplasty and should be limited to younger patients with pliable valves. The results are also similar to the balloon procedure.

While valvotomy is effective, the risk is greater than with balloon valvuloplasty. Valvotomy is only used when a balloon valvuloplasty cannot be performed.
