Our patient's diagnosis has been well defined by bedside findings and non-invasive Labs assessment. The major indication for catheterization in older patients with this disease is to evaluate the coronary arteries. While invasive diagnostic procedures might not be considered mandatory in a 25-year-old male with neither symptoms nor risk factors for coronary artery disease, further studies were carried out. In this patient, cardiac catheterization and angiography were performed in order to further define anatomy, confirm severity of the lesion, detect any associated disease, evaluate left ventricular function, obtain hemodynamic measurements, including pressures and cardiac output, and as a prelude to certain therapeutic options.
