This rhythm strip shows atrial fibrillation. The characteristic features demonstrated here include: Rapid, totally irregular atrial activity instead of discrete, repetitive P waves; and a totally irregular ventricular response.
Atrial fibrillation is a very common arrhythmia, often seen in patients with left atrial disease.
