We shall now listen at the apex. The timing device on this occasion will be the apical impulse, and that apical impulse announces systole. The cotton swab will enhance that impulse and we shall be listening with the bell of the stethoscope, and the bell, of course, will bring out the low-frequency event. Let’s listen and watch together.
