You are incorrect - the best interpretation of our patient's electrocardiogram is global subepicardial injury.

Your choice: Non-specific ST-T abnormalities
This electrocardiogram shows non-specific ST-T abnormalities.

This term applies to many different variations in the ST segment and the T wave that do not suggest a specific diagnosis. In this tracing, the T waves are flat in several leads, especially in V5 and V6.

These non-specific abnormalities are observed in a large variety of clinical settings, including drinking cold water, hyperventilation, and electrolyte disturbances, the effects of drugs, and early myocardial ischemia. While the tracing is interpreted as abnormal, it does not necessarily indicate that the heart is abnormal.
