Your choice: Cardiac transplantation
Cardiac transplantation should, in general, be reserved for symptomatic patients with severe irreversible left ventricular dysfunction, for whom no reparative or reconstructive therapy is available.
Our patient is a candidate for valve repair or replacement and, therefore, heart replacement is not a consideration.
