Dime size = 1.8 cm

Our patient’s precordial movement is normal. Normal in location, mid-clavicular line, fifth intercostal space; normal in size, dime-sized; and normal in contour, that is, a very brief, very early, non-sustained systolic impulse. Let’s observe that again together by using the cotton swab at the apex and using the carotid for timing. Everybody observe.

Our patient’s chest wall movement is normal.
